Growing Family and Garden

When we returned from the hospital baby Elizabeth wasn't the only new life springing up.  My parents had unbelievable tilled and planted my entire garden!  So, instead of a sad little handful of plants I had expected to be growing along side the newest little family member I now have a full garden bursting with the hope of fresh things to come.

Tea Party Restoration

A couple of weeks ago I drove past my neighbor's house and could not believe they were tossing these awesome retro metal vanity chairs.  As soon as I parked in my driveway, I jogged over and snagged the treasures before any of the vulturous roaming metal scrappers swooped passed to stake their claim over my new restoration project.  I was able to scrape away the old chipped up paint, re-cut new plyboard bases and then upholster new cushioned seats.  And just like that we have new fancy chairs just in time for Izzy's upcoming Tea Party 4th Birthday!

Iron Man Approved

I know the Bible says God "hates divorce," but it actually worked out quite well for my kids and I today.   A good friend of mine at work, following her nasty divorce, went out and bought herself a fancy new house.  She discovered an awesome little wooden playground in the farthest reaches of her expansive new backyard, and since she has no desire to ever have children of her own to utilize the contraption she offered it to me....FREE!  Her only requirement was for me to come take it down and haul it off, which I gladly did this morning.  I then brought it home, unloaded the million parts and then with the precession of Dr. Frankenstein himself I reassembled the various pieces in a new joint creation with my new/old/old treehouse.  Kid and Iron Man approved!

Only a couple of pages left, and most of the lettering is done.
