I swiped the basics of this idea from Family Fun magazine. To do it I just cut the end of some tp tubes with pinking scissors and painted the tubes in and out (I had to run a stick through the middle of mine while painting because it was crazy windy outside). I also painted several wooden skewers. Next, I cut several slits around the edges of both ends of the tubes (leaving about an inch in the middle), folded the little tabs back, wadded up sheets of colored tissue paper and stuffed one in the middle of each tube. Finally, I poked one end of each skewer into the middle of a tube and the other end into a pre-drilled hole in a long skinny board. TaaDaa...flowers.
