New/Old Treehouse

I had to condemn the treehouse I built a couple of years ago due to one of its foundation trees dying of some strange tree disease attacking my woods.  What took me two or three weeks to build took a whole forty five minutes to tear completely apart.  If I had not been concerned about preserving the boards (which were formally garden planter boxes and prior to that found in the woods) it probably could have been wrecked in about ten.  I was, however, able to save almost all of the wood, and with the help of my La Porte buddy, Carson, I selected a new build sight and got to work. Carson's timely visit allowed us to slap up the foundation pretty quick.  Since Carson took this picture much progress has been made:  a 9 ft log was split and used to make new stairs, railings were constructed, and the search for a cheap 8 ft slide has begun.  After the monsoon outside lets up, I will try to take some new pictures to share.

And yes I know I need to mow...so shut up about it.
